Wanted to start a thread. Just to see how my truck change over then next few months to years. It'll take me a while to compete what I want being a student with a part time job and college payments. Recently bought a new to me 2004 4x4 that I'm already in love with and want to build up.

Last night I took the grill off and side lights to Plasti dip them. I think it looks pretty good IMG_20170110_071624341.jpg DSC08804.jpg

Things I'm planing on doing to her
    -Suspensions
Bilstein 5100s front and rear with AAL in the back
Emu 2882 to replace the stock springs
New bushings to go with the 5100s.
New upper arms, not sure what ones yet
    -Armor
Trail gear rock defense front bumper (paint it black)
    Trail gear rock sliders
Arb rear bumper or fab my own

    Prioritys
Fixing my leaking heater core is on the top of the list for right now. I want to get that fixed before it hurts anything else

I will be purchasing some Yakima bed rails and cargo basket from work to put the camping stuff in along with a diy rod tubes to hold the fly rods

Nice truck! I have similar plans for mine, but am also on a college budget :anonymous: My biggest tip: look for discounts/deals on anything and everything you buy. I've paid full price for almost nothing I've bought so far.

Sounds like a good tip to me. Went to a pick and pull over the weekend but didn't find anything. Any places you find some good stuff?

4WheelParts has been having some pretty good sales lately. Craigslist is also good from time to time obviously, but in general just do a lot of research on the internet to find the best prices before you buy anything. Wheeler's Offroad and Downsouth Motorsports are also good places to shop.

    Update
Just invested in a camper shell. Got it for a decent price off Craigslist. I think the black doesn't look to bad. In the near future I will be getting a lift for her.
