Made a little video of my exhaust. Because of how the mic picks it up, it sounds like there's an exhaust leak, but there isn't. Sounds good in person, not when you're at ear level and 5 feet away.

A 265hp 318 from a '71 D100. Nothing fancy, but considering the existing Slant Six was producing all of 95hp when it was new...
The upgrade should make a noticeable difference, lol. If I've lost 1hp a year I'm down around 60 now, and it shows when you're lugging the plow and a few hundred lbs of ballast around during the winter.

Yeah, probably. She'll still get the alert when she logs in, if she hasn't heard about it yet.

As nice as that would probably be...
Converting a modern fuel-injected Toyota engine designed to bolt to an automatic to work in an antique carbureted, manual transmission Dodge would cost a fortune, lol.

    :notsure:

A Tundra v-8 in an old plow/work truck would still be pretty sweet. And expensive, and difficult, lol.

I wonder how difficult it would actually be. You'd be starting with a huge, wide open engine bay and a base vehicle that doesn't have anything in the way of complex electronics to coordinate. Might actually be easier than shoehorning it into a new vehicle. It would be expensive and much more complex than your current engine sway though at any rate.

I'd have to swap the transmission too, though. Pretty sure there's no way I could get an NP435 machined to fit correctly, haha! And I'd need all of the engine management parts from the Tundra. And new engine mounts, cooling system, an electronic fuel pump, etc. And it probably wouldn't fit over a solid front axle.
    Awesome, but impractical.

Yeah, but if that's all I was after I could just convert to an old Mopar big block. Drop a 440 or a 383 in there. They'd fit, I'd just have to upgrade to different bellhousing & clutch, new crossmember, and go from a 5/16 fuel line to a 3/8. And then I'd have power for dayzzz. And no $$ because I spent it all on gas, lol.

Ironic that he spent his life doing 200mph on two wheels and died in a bicycle accident. Damn Italian drivers.
