After over a year I finally put this empty mount slot to good daily use. I got tired of seeng all that marvel engineering effort not doing anything lol!

The hero in all this is the Go-Pro bike helmet and velcro tape. The tape is wound tight to joint coiled over helmet mount and detector, and once mounted it needs to be leveled, and to do that I made a wedge by wrapping a piece of leftover velcro, stuffed it in there where its out of sight and done.

I like that slot for it (detector) best because it just makes my detector disappear much better and cheaper than a rear view mirror mount and it’s much cheaper too. Sorry guys if you sell those, I’m not claiming this is better, or for everyone, that’s just me being me.

To tighten detector, I simply snug Velcro tape around detector and then work it over bike mount adapter and it should be a tight fit once over.
I also make sure adopter adjustment screws are tight so they won’t move or drop down.

The passenger sun-visor can still be used

Wiring going to headliner gets routed via pillar, simple pull back weather striping and tuck in
    and around front of windshield.

Removing the overhead console will loosen the headliner enough to slide and tuck wiring, to remove simply grab from corners and pull.

All done with the hard wiring, time for the six pack!

Hope it helps or give someone some ideas to finding some uses for it and maybe post to see what else beside the go-pro camera we can put on there.

    Cheers!

If you can remove the kick panel on drivers side to the fuse box for power, the rest is not that hard.
