So I've been gathering parts to do a suspension lift on my 2012 base double cab v6 4x4 taco and I want to make sure im doing this right but not break the bank as cash flow is limited at the moment. I will only be doing minor off roading (dirt hills & bumpy gravel roads) so it will mostly be on pavement. This is a list of what I have sitting in my garage currently and need to know what else I HAVE to have to make this possible.....it all started with the tires and now I need to make them fit.

    - 285 75 16
    - Atx black 16" rims
    - Bilstein 5100 all the way around
    - OME 885
    - 1" billet spacer block for the rear.

I will take all input from anyone willing to help me out. Nothing is currently installed yet and all new. Thanks in advance.

You'll need to trim your pinch weld and possibly trim the back of your fenders. Since you're 4x4 the 885's should give you about 2.5", so you should not need new UCA's. if anything, I would recommend an add a leaf over blocks

I recommend calling Marie at Headstrong Off-road. I have the same setup as you with an add a leaf. I'm about to upgrade to Dakar leaf packs due to the weight I carry. I may sell my whole factory leaf pack w add a leaf if you want to buy used. It will provide 2.5-3" in the rear.

I'd take $100 + cost of shipping. The add a leaf is a Deaver and has been on my truck for 7K miles. Factory leafs have 30K.

Look into how much a single leaf costs you, not sure if it would be beneficial unless you see it as an upgrade getting newer leafs, but honestly I'll keep everything if I don't make $100:thumbsup:

I am running a 3 inch suspension lift as well as a 1 inch body lift so I could make my 285/70/17s fit. This is basically the same demensions as yours so maybe look at going down that route (it's about $150). I know a lot of people HATE body lifts, but those are people who are going 3-4 inches. I love my 1 inch and I would totally recommend it. It allowed me to fit huge tires on it with almost no trimming or rubbing!

gosh.. where do I start, 18x9’s on 275-65 ridge grapplers. Bilsteins, clazzio leather, audio consists of stereo integrity, fosgate power amps, sundown audio, hybrid audio. Plus more...
After lifting my truck I had insane amount of problems with alighnment and truck riding like crap !! My headache and $700 finally went away when I had a set of light racing upper control arms put on.

I agree with @azsean UCAs are probably nessisary for this build. You could probably get away with not having them but like he said the truck will "float" and/or pull, in short it will "ride like crap"

And I only set the bilsteins to 1.75.
I went through multiple alighnments and wheels balancing and ugh. It's giving me a headache just thinking about it. Lol.

No more floating and pulling. But it kind of drives like a go cart. Lol. Steering is really tight. No two finger driving here
