8th Annual South Padre Island Tacoma World Meet 05-27-2017

This will be my first year, but I've been looking for something like this to join for a while. Looks like some super chill people will be going. Hope we all have a good time and meet some new people and check out some of the builds there. I'm from SA so I think I'll meeting up with the everyone at the Bass pro shop. I hope to see some fellow taco's on my way there....

My Taco developed an electrical gremlin keeping my to get it up and running before Friday.

 

Downloaded the Zello app last night and joined the group, haven't tested it but will try it out before Saturday. Getting all my gear ready! Can't wait!!!!

 

Cool, Im always on ZELLO. Im not going to be able to get everything done that I wanted to get done because of a S.N.A.F.U. with my ex-employer that involves my severance pay, but we're still going. Picked up a spare tire for the SGT Rock trailer today. Flag mounts are done. I plan on doing the Diff mod tomorrow just in case we get into some water. Did not get the drone that I thought I was going to get, hopefully someone else is bringing one. I still need to iron out my fishing gear, plan a menu, and figure out the blow up mattress setup for the trailer. Oh and pack some firewood.

 

I'm ready to go! Just need my Texas flag to come in! Woot Woot!

 

Wife wants to get a tear drop trailer to stay on the beach. I'm not sure about that but hey happy wife happy life right. I just can't see the taco pulling a trailer like that lol.

 

But it'll look "CUTE!"

My girl and I are going to be flying in instead of driving from Cali. There have been some last minute changes to things that are out of our control so we had to adjust. All is good though, we have our plane tickets and we're set arrive in Harlingen around 5 pm this Friday.

My mom has a 4Runner so we'll be in her ride and not in my truck. All that matters is that we'll be there!

WOW, Dude your a trooper. I had to cancel my trip to go to the Hot Rod Power Tour that I had been planning for over a year. The company I was working for had been promising all employees that were leaving, one large single severance check. On the very last day they sent out a revised severance package stating they were going to pay us every 2 weeks for a year. Im starting a new business and needed to pick up about 4,000.00 worth of network gear to get this started but just got bitch slapped instead. How does the phrase of that song go, " If you want to hear God laugh tell him your plan." Plan B........

Bummer. Turns out the place we were going to get the trailer no longer has it so it's a no go for the tear drop trailer. But if I did take it, it wouldn't have been a problem at all for y'all to check it out...

 

We're going to have the military trailer out there and 2 canopy's and tables. Im going to try and setup a hammock between the truck and the trailer for me, momma's going to sleep in the trailer on an air mattress and we should have a pretty good size fire pit going,Hell the seats lay flat on the passenger side of the truck so I can sleep 4 if someone wants the whole back seat. Im also bringing the generator for lots of lights. I sleep naked BTW...........
