    Ordering vinyl flooring today.

Also, going to go ahead and do the sound deadening project since the cab is already half stripped.

Ordered the vinyl. There about 4 different places to buy it from. After calling around, I learned it's all made in the same plant in AL. Naturally, I ordered from rock auto since they were the cheapest by $20. :)

Think I'm going to try the Frost King duct insulation as a sound/heat barrier. I've read several good reviews here and this vid seems pretty legit. Not willing to pony up for dynomat.

    Worth a shot.

I bet you could spray on bedliner over the sound deadener. That may be what I try. Regardless of what you do, it will be better then that carpet

Haha it was on my side too. He asked me if water was coming in and I said yeah. He asked how bad and I said "Depends on what you define as bad. I sat in my drivers seat with my legs underwater. Any less then that isn't bad to me."
You gotta make it to one of our drift events. You have way too much fun going fast and sideways to never experience that.

The bedliner itself will act as a sound deadener. You have to use the roll on stuff though and not the spray. 3-4 coats and it works as well as dynamat.

even plastidip acts as a sound deadener. Over spray goes everywhere though.

FYI: installing uncut vinyl flooring is a major pain in the dick.

    MAJOR. PAIN. IN. THE. DICK.

Looking awesome though. Hope to be done before the weekend is over.

Vinyl from Auto custom carpets is complete. I ordered it from rock auto because they were cheaper than anyone else. It comes molded to the contours of your floor pan, but there are no holes premade. There is also a considerable amount of slack on all four sides that has to be trimmed away.

It is a very slow and tedious process. You have to cut away a little bit at a time until you get it right. Disassembling the cab completely is absolutely a necessity. While I had it all apart I installed some frost king duct insulation to act as a sound/heat barrier. I have no idea how well it will work, but it's cheap so I'm not too worried about it.

I still need to do the rear storage bin lids, but I am over it for now. Overall, I am very pleased with how it came out.

Did I mention that this was a major pain in the dick? :D

Could some of the dick pain be alleviated by putting the vinyl over the stock carpet outside the truck, and trimming to fit/adding holes? Even if it wasn't exact, seems like it would be a hell of a lot closer.

    No, unfortunately. Tried that.

If you had a flat sheet of carpet and vinyl maybe. But both are contoured, and not exactly the same so they won't overlap. Also, the carpet attached to the truck with little clips. The vinyl doesn't have clips so you have to make it bigger so you can tuck the edges under something to keep it in place.

Trust me, I tried everything. Just gotta take the dick pain and do the best you can.
