New Tacoma Owner

Hello everyone. I have been looking at Tacomas for years and finally took the plunge and bought my first Taco in February. I did a ton of research before my purchase, including many searches on TW for info. I was originally looking to finance a brand new 3rd Gen Tacoma, but after reading so many negative reviews & posts from owners, I decided to go with a 2nd Gen instead. With a lot of local dealer searches, I was able to find and purchase a 2015 TRD Sport with only 6,839 miles on it. It was off lease and still had the new car smell in it. Driving it now daily for just over 3 months, I can say that I love the truck and so far am very pleased with the purchase.

Since the purchase, I've added a Backflip F1 bed cover, OEM Tacoma bed mat, Avid Off Road front push bar, Go Rhino rear step and Pop & Lock tailgate handle. I will be looking to do some minor mods in the future and this site and your advice/input will go a long way.

How are you liking the backflip?

 

I installed it by myself and like others have stated on this site, the included instructions were worthless (thank God for YouTube). It was a bit of a pain for me adjusting it to where it fit just right. Other than that, I love the way it looks, water leaks are minimal and its a very functional cover. I like that if I need to, I can open it all the way up to the cab to get full use of my bed. A minor gripe is that you always have to lift the last panel up before closing the tailgate otherwise you'll mash your weather stripping. Overall I've had it on my truck for 3 months so far and I'm satisfied with it.
