still kills me that they sell it in a cheap cardboard fkn box. But most have their own cases/safes and it keeps costs down but it just looks so bad.

Dumb question coming here. Not really a fire arm per say. Where can I get the best deal on a decent BB gun for my son. He is 8 and has no experice. Pump or co2?:crapstorm:

Yeah, I invested in the Crimson Trace Lasergrips almost as soon as I bought it. I liked the 'instant on' feature for as soon as you grip it. I figure that between the quick acquisition and the intimidation factors a laser is a big 'pro' for a carry gun. :notsure:

Crosman Pumpmaster 760 gets my vote. They're cheap, accurate, and since they're a manual pump action they'll teach him to take his time and aim straight. Plus they can shoot pellets or bb's, and dear old dad doesn't have to buy replacement CO2 cartridges.
I learned on a 760, and I still have it. I use it on squirrels raiding my bird feeders when I don't want to wake the neighbors.

Just food for thought, lasers can work for targeting in both directions, meaning you show off your position as well.

I started my kid on a good ol' Daisy. It's the same Daisy I started with. Granted, he's a bit younger than your kid. Once he regularly exhibits proper safety and good marksmanship, I'll move him up to a higher power BB gun.

Had a Red Ryder myself and I never really liked shooting it. My parents and my friends' parents would let us all get together and target shoot which included pop cans at about 25 yards and the red ryder never could keep up with the 760's.
