I have a 12 inch JBL sub in a box that is too large for my 4 door tacoma 2002. I was hoping for some suggestions on a box that could fit behind my seats. Anything would help.

Talk to Mr. Marv. Do a search for his name. You won't be disappointed.

Depending on which sub you have you may not be able to mount it behind the seats. There is a way to get a little extra room behind the seats but its a pain and you only get about an inch. Max mount depth you will probably get is about

Best bet for mounting subs behind the seats is to buy shallow mount subs. JL has a version, i run sundown sd3s, there are plenty of companies that make them.

I had a local car audio store build my sub enclosure and it has dual 8" pioneer shallow mount subs . It was $600 installed with the Pioneer subs

Even though this box is small in size it still can thump hard !!

Like I mentioned I'm currently running dual 8" subs but might be going with (4) 8" subs with a new enclosure
