Would. Can't get a full week off though. One-deep in a 4 person shop at work right now with no relief until November.

Numbers are building. Feel free to PM me or respond with confirmation of Yay or nay!

We are currently working the numbers for permit purposes and deals with local establishments.

best of luck with your event...if you haven't already gotten permits, it will not be a quick task...

and i was being sarcastic since Rock Therapy is a Toyota gathering that is going on its 7th year in Moab...

Agreed. We certainly have some obstacles to overcome in such a short time though we have some ideas on how to hold an event that might not be of the same calibre given the short time frame. Nobody here is trying to compete, just add a little extra for people that might not be able to make the other events.

Being a Toyota enthusiast I would hope some appreciation for the nature of the attempt would be welcomed and of interest, rather than pursueded against, if I understand your comment correctly.

If you were, in fact, wishing a genuine "good luck" then thank you. We need any support we can muster. If the comment was poking fun then that's ok. We have others that will appreciate a new event at a different level.

By the way, I've been to Rock Therapy and it's been a blast!!

    Thanks for bumping the thread

Too bad my R front wheel bearing started squeaking out there today. :( Oh well, I'll work on the truck next weekend and it will be good in September and October. :D

There was one alternate rout (steep hill climb) half way through the second leg that I passed on. Other than that I just committed to the line FTW! I ran Top of the World last weekend, and it showed me what my little truck could do. (Day trips are easy from Grand Junction) I bet a stock truck could pull Fins off with a good driver, and a little scraping here and there.

How about a full sized tundra? not concerned about the skids, just the sides

I didn't do any pinstriping today, and I kept my sliders off the rocks. However there are some steep approach angles on both climbs and decents, I did bump my receiver hitch once or twice. I'm running a 3" ish lift on 33's, and I used my locker a few times. But I've run TOTW, Fins, and Dome Plateau all with out a spotter this season.

i was out there a couple months ago and did 7 mile rim Trail in a full sized with a 3 inch lift, full skids, but the truck was only 2 months old. It wasn't the trail that scared me...it was the repairs that were coming that made me nervous. Not to mention the fully loaded bed with gear, bed rack, and RTT. I was already riding low but made it out fairly unscathed. A few slider shots, skids were pretty scraped, an alignment was necessary, but my daily driver did well

    I'm all in!!! Sort of.

I just bought my first Tacoma (TRD O/R) last Friday and I've been dreaming of a return trip to Moab ever since my first (F-150) visit 5 years ago. I had the excellent experience of driving the White Rim Trail, Cathedral Valley, Escalante Grand Staircase road, and a bunch of other minor trails. It was epic!

My purpose in attending is mostly to learn from the experts, have some fun and experience some of the best landscapes on earth. Unfortunately, since my Taco is brand new and bone stock, I won't be doing any killer off-roading. But I'm willing to get her dirty.

Please keep me posted as things get organized. I'm coming from Vancouver Island, BC so I'll have a three day drive (each way) just to get there on time. Totally stoked!

    Cheers
    Jules
