If its in a very obvious spot you can see with a quick glance then ya, not the best application at all.
That looks like more even coverage than I got. the spots where I'm not happy it didn't stick at all, still chrome. But as i stated you can't see it eve if you tried..
That'll look really cool dipped in muticam!!

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I'm leaning more towards doing my BHLM like yours.
When you get a chance, if you would post the details about the yellow blinker bulbs I'd appreciate it.
Also what bulbs are you running wit your fogs since they are yellow as well?
    Thanks

Looks good to me! What brand tint did you use? And any prep work to the chrome before spraying?
And from the looks of it you are the headlight guru, If I was to spray the blinker and high domes using your technique do you think the lights would be adequate or useless? Thanks

    No problem.
Keep the ribbed lens in front of the signal clear so it collects light from the flashing bulb. Looks awesome with all the black in the housing too.

Stock fog bulbs with Laminex film for color.

No prep, just make sure its clean. The chrome scratches very easy, so don't wipe it too much. I just used rustoleum lens tint from autoparts store. I'd like to try the "nightshades" brand but couldn't find any locally....and I'm an impatient bastard. I'm far from a guru, I would just classify myself as a Light Nerd.

"..do you think the lights would be adequate or useless" for you..they would probably be fine. For me, NO. I am a stickler for light output, intensity, and coverage. Put it this way: take a stock chrome bucket and "tint it", Now you have worse output than the factory..OK well then add a upgraded LED bulb. Now you are MAYBE back to stock levels(probably less because it doesn't have the same reflection as before). No doubt @LEXICON's look stealth as hell. It's a FORM--FUNCTION battle. You can't have both, Or can you....:spy:

    too easy:p

    For anyone curious as to how the DRL's are so damn bright.. whoever designed these optics are light ninjas. You can see here how the PCB is at an angle and each lens captures the light and directs it forward;

    WELL,...

GOOD NEWS: they fit.(just mocked up, still Need to design brackets/adjust/etc)

BAD NEWS: I lost my DRL LED. (Just not enough room to fit the board)

GOOD NEWS: I at least retained the turn signal

This is a VERY rough draft, I just wanted to see if I even like to look and if it was possible. Please don't mind the chrome:p

So... I've been contemplating this new octo build.... and I Have decided to scrap the idea. It will lay to rest on the light shelf along with the other insane light projects.
Reason? I miss my DRL led bar. For reals.
Color me crazy, but that was the deciding factor. But don't worry! Because I have something super mega awesome top-secret planned. :stirthepot:

Aw bummer. But I agree, the DTRL is kind of a signature look for the truck imo.

I can't wait to see what's brewing next in the works!
