Thing's are great. As usual with illness and allergies, the cure comes well after everything has run it's course. But hopefully this will help build up a resistance to future reactions...as for your wife, well you can look on the brightside, she doesn't need a jacket....and it's a dry heat! I heard it's supposed to drop off a little but I haven't checked in a day or so.

She'll survive...better than I would. They have AC and a backyard pool.

EDIT: and oh yeah, our grandkids! She will more than survive.

:fingerscrossed: on the resistance build up.

Yes it is. And I'll be working in it this weekend. Tomorrow I'm picking up a "porta cool" for my work area and our holiday compliance/public assistance point we set up at the busiest entry point into the fee area.

As long as the low temps stay shy of the 80's, it's not too bad. We have some 60's and 70's in there yet. Those may seem high, but it's all relative...

 I'm sure you stay hydrated too. I don't know if I could ever acclimate to that kind of heat ... well I did back in the Desert Shield/Storm/Calm days. But after living here for almost 16 years, I don't think I could adjust to working in that kind of heat. :notsure:

    You keep safe out there.

Hmm that is where I went wrong I begged for forgiveness first :frusty:

Both my sons have issues, one has had chemo and will likley never be able to have children at this point even if they can put the damn cancer back into remission this time. The other is in the top 95% of OCD cases in the US and will never have children by his choice. There is a chain of thought that it is heredity and his wife has a Masters in Health Education and they both agree. But might adopt in the future. Biologically he is not my child but he is my son and was there for him from birth. Even though I knew it at the time, and a few months ago he found out and wanted a DNA test and did with a .06% chance from the results, still married what is her name 30 years ago. But no regrets for having either of my sons. And want a future for them and a secure one. Yeah I get it and thank you for the education. I need a lawyer should have gotten one when I really needed it. I will now and thank you once again.

In the bad old days common courtesy was to mount them on the drivers side so if they fell off then you were less likely to kill someone behind you. Yes they rust really bad in any humidity and have posted about it on here before. Once they rust they lock up and when your on the trail you can pour beer or liqueur over them to free the ratchet up. But many consider that as alcohol abuse. Urine can also dissolve the rust so everyone standing around pissing on it can free it up also. OK so now who is the lucky SOB that is going to use it?

    Double Like...

Reminds me of Sam Kinison and the World Hunger video Kevin posted awhile back. It is sand... MOVE!! Don't know of a perfect place all year though. 100+ isn't it. And 30 below sure as hell isn't it.

See I actually think about other things..

    To be fair and honest , I learned a lot of this from .. yep my EX her parents were in a bad motorcycle accident when she was younger her mother passed away but only because another bike ( off duty LEO drunk) hit her as she was getting up from the accident . Her father ended up with the intellect of a 6 year old yes no helmet course it was in the early 70s. Anyhow the insurance and settlements had to be put up etc and since it was done by her hand and her grandparents well it is all unprotected. Not to mention the insurance company for her parents and the off duty leo did not want to pay out to an underage person etc etc you get the idea. We almost declared bankruptcy in TX when they closed the base and we did not qualify for soldier and sailors relief act because that goes by zip code. Austin has or had about a dozen so we could not sell the house everyone knew the base was closing several thousand houses were up for sale. Well we found out since her trust was set up by her and her grandparents there was no protection the mortgage company could go after it . All we were doing was going to get rid of the house well we stopped the bankruptcy and played lets make a deal with the mortgage company and mostly won we paid them x amount if they sold it for more then x amount we get the excess and they did so we did ..:}

Anyhow that is how I came by a lot of that knowledge and yes it was years ago but it still applies see an attorney get everything together figure out who , what, where and how much and how it is invested ( blue chip only for me) and let it all ride pay it's own taxes till pay outs etc they will explain it to you.

Really? I thought it through before I mounted it and figured the prudent thing was to mount it on the passengers side so if it fell off, which it isn't going to do by the way, driving down a 2 lane road it would fall off and go into the ditch instead of oncoming traffic so I would be less likely to kill someone.

How can you not get a good nights sleep with that? Wait I was usually in the pit when they said those words. But yes thank you.

2 lane or 4 lane doesn't matter. Think about it for a bit... Unless you are passing someone on a 2 lane road it is the only time the passengers side mount is safe, and even then it is questionable. At least that is what we all used to think back in the day. I finally mounted mine where it is safe no matter where I am. Can be a PITA to get out but as you get older and wiser you look at a stretch of trail and say screw that. And still go in anyhow if you think there is a slight chance you can make it LOL.

Even though it is protect from the elements when I undercoat the frame I wash it off and then spray it top to bottom with Triflow or Remington Gun Oil each year.

It is usually coated in dog hair and grime by then and needs full treatment.

Greasing it is the worst especially where sand is common, it seems to collect sand like burrs on a dog...

Your right IMO oiling it is the best approach but not WD40 there are much better alternatives out there now. I use triflow but many of the other Teflon sprays are just as good. YMMV :)
