Could somebody please help me troubleshoot this

I spliced in to the wiring that lights up my shift selector in my centre console a few weeks back and ran three strips of three leds each so nine total leds to my floor boards and center console.
Today I went to repair it when I noticed the console light was not on and found that I'm not getting power to the bulb that lights up the shift selector anymore or at least am only getting a reading of .01 volts on the lead to the bulb

My dash lights are still working fine and I can control them with the dimmer knob still

Could this be a melted wire below the shifter somewhere, I'm ready to start taking it apart but don't know what kind of rat nest I'm going to open up m. I figured if a fuse popped I wouldn't have power to my dash
And further if it will do more damage every time I turn on my headlights

    Any suggestions welcome

Id check your splices. Did you splice both the power and the ground wires? Im not sure which fuse controls those lights, so may want to check them all.

Figured it out, the tail light fuse in the dash blew, I'm thinking when I was tinkering with the light position I grounded it out on something if that's possible, otherwise I'm drawing too many amps on that line and need a relay or to splice onto something else
