When life gives you lemons....(I mean when you get banned)

This weekend I got more done on my truck than I have in months. (Ken, this is basically a repost, so feel free to roam about elsewhere during this post).

    Hold your breath.

    1. I changed the oil. Only 1400 miles over the 5k OIC. I have been flogging the truck to death between both houses and two sets of contractors and family medical emergencies in the bay area. I never go more than a couple hundred over at most.

This is what it looks like at the tailpipe. Lots of storms, lots of washing filthy windows so my blind spots are ever so slightly less blind, and A LOT of sticking my foot down hard way often than I ever would usually. My decision points have been markedly leaning to the aggressive side of late.

    2. I finally installed the supercharger!

2 (revised). I did the air pump filter mod! Yes! Inspired by you @DVexile. The hood was open, so it took about 10 minutes as the oil was draining.

Actually, I am looking at my new commute and how much more I'll be spending on gas and thinking that when it comes down to it, I'll either buy a dedicated used commuter car or sell the SC. We still have a lot to figure out with our new routine, so no rush there.

Now I just need to rotate my tires. I do the 5-tire every 5k, but simply could not get to it this time.

Upside: I've unpacked enough shit to be able to get the truck completely inside one bay and I have found all my maintenance stuff and parts, so I can at least do some night work on some things.

Too busy chasing down some significant irrigation leaks at the new house during my "free time" with daylight on the weekends.
Some areas suffering from inadequate irrigation from low pressure, and I'm paying to send perfectly good water down the gutter in some difficult-to-determine places. I think I have about 15 irrigation zones. I look into a known issue, test run zones, and listen an observe, and generally find a couple other things each time. A second person with coms would reduce my effort on this considerably. But at least I'm getting a lot more exercise. Not enough to be a supermodel, though. Yet.

I wish I wouldn't either. Clearly I am in no rush to make a decision either way.
