Hey y'all! Brand new to the tacoma world and I wanted to ask if something was normal for Tacoma's or if theres a problem with mine. The steering is crazy sensitive. The truck will pull left or right if the road is slanted, but drives perfectly straight on flat. Low speeds its no problem, but if I hit a pot hole at 70, the steering sometimes jumps one way if I'm not white knuckling it. Is this normal for Tacoma's or is it a problem/the specific set-up on the truck?

Update: unfortunately I don't know much about the truck. I know the tires are not stock, I don't think it is lifted, but it has some yellow struts in front that do not look stock. It has been in a rollover, but it was completely repaired and the alignment was "checked" although I have trust issues with mechanics when Im not sure what they are actually doing.

We could use some more information:
    Do you have a lift?
    Has your truck been aligned?

The problem you describe is known as 'bump steer', and is commonly the result of inadequate camber settings at the front wheels, and can be made worse by lifting the front, which necessitates higher-than-spec camber settings.

Have your alignment checked again. If you are not lifted, you want your camber to be around 2 degrees. This is a safety issue, and needs to be addressed ASAP.
