i used to live in Bethesda, went to elem-high school in MoCo. how i love that I'm not there anymore!

I'd also recommend the goFSR tent, they seem to make some solid gear

Ah, I just moved here last summer, this is my first year on the east coast. I lived in southern California my whole life. Its different! I have a feeling I can get a smittybilt or tuff stuff tent for like $700 within the next month, there will probably be a sale or discount or something. I want to really justify paying an extra 50% of that cash for a more expensive tent.

Here is the Harkin hoist that was installed today. It works pretty great using block and tackle to decrease the weight.

I have the 49, fits within the width of my rack, the 55 shouldn't be too bad. It does have over the back almost a foot.

Any chance you can post exactly what that setup is? Did you buy it all as a package or did you just piece it all together. Looking to hoist my bed rack and cvt tent just like your setup

Ya, this is awesome! You even have the bed rack I'm getting! Which tent is that and how high is your ceiling? I'm gonna go this route I think.

Couldn't find a second set of hands for help, so I rigged up a temporary solution. A few more tweaks here and there and it should be my regular hoist setup.

I can post up exactly what was installed once I get home. I'm here at South Padre Island for the tacomaworld meet and am heading home today.

Without looking at the invoice, I can say it's the Harkin hoist used for jeep tops and the like. It was ordered from CVT by my installer. They used 3, 2x6's into the rafters in the ceiling. He doubled up on all the hardware since we were lifting about 250-300 lbs. the black cord is stout paracord to attach the straps too. The pulling rope is a 5mm, climbing type rope but more stout with less flex.

The hoist package comes with everything but the 2x6's and stronger hardware.

That's a CVT mt Shasta extended summit. Ceilings are 9' in that room.

We will have the exact same setup once everything arrives at my door! If you could get a part number after you get home that would be great! So when you say doubled up on the hardware, did you get 2 sets of the same hoist? I just woke up and I'm not comprehending.
    Thanks!
