Haven't decided. Thinking of Michelin AT2. Yokahomas new Geolander seems to be getting good reviews.

I was really close to purchasing the Toyo A/T 2, but I heard exactly what ace96 described about the wet traction after they wore down. I decided to give the new Continental TerrainContact a try. Kind of a mild all terrain but it is supposed to have excellent wet traction. New tires should be here in a few days.

Strange thing is the tread is still in good shape. There are times I am using 4wd in the rain because traction is so bad.

That's pretty bad if you are having to use 4wd in the rain. Definitely glad i decided against the toyo. Heck, the cooper at3 that I currently have are at 4/32 and are still pretty good in the rain, but are getting really loud due to the edge feathering/cupping

And that is considering I drive with a light foot. :(

It sounds pretty dangerous to drive in the rain. I would be looking for some replacements soon.

Damn, glad I came across this thread. Was really close to pulling the trigger on a set. Guess I'm going to have to go with the AT3 afterall.

Lol. Keep reading. You'll find that every tire from every manufacturer has one or two people claiming they're the worst tires ever. .... along with people claiming they're the best.

That said, generally speaking, Toyo's, along with the KO2's, are probably some of the highest reviewed AT tires out there.

Don't get me wrong I like the tire until the last 6 months and then the issue in rain started. I guess I have around 30,000 miles on them. They wear great and noise isn't bad at all for the mileage. Keep in mind I live in area where we gets a lot of rain during late winter/spring. Folks in drier climates won't have any issues.

My dad replaced is Nitto Terra Grappler G2s with a set of the Open Country AT 2's. He probably has 8,000 miles on them now and they aren't too loud and seem to be wearing well. It will be interesting to see how he likes them over time

Got new AT 2's installed yesterday. Went with 285-75-17 and they fit perfect no rubbing at all and didn't have to cut anything. The extreme version looks pretty aggressive in person.

Appearance wise, I'm hesitant to throw these on my truck after running LT265 Duratracs which look and do great off road.
AT2s just look so... sad. But I do want a lighter smoother tread. Just don't know if I can sacrifice the appearance!

After running my Toyo AT2's for a couple months not I have started to hate this tire. I can't keep them balanced and they're like adding anchors to your tires and are killing my mileage. I went from Mich defenders and was getting easy mid 19 mpg and now I'm down to 17mpg. The worst part is how slow the truck feels now with these tires. I don't know why I bought these because I mostly drive highways and no off road. I'll be going back to a hwy tire and am totally giving up on all terrain tires.

These tires are noisy but not that bad, to say their quit is just wrong though, this is not a quite tire. I don't mind the noise but I have no idea why some are saying this is a quite tire, maybe compared to a full blown mud tire it but definitely not quiet. My only complaint about the noise is that it makes my tunes seem not so loud anymore.

Michelin AT2 is a great long lasting, very quite tire, and handles like good All season tire
