Took my truck in for the first service:
    • Completed the 5,000 mile service including rotating tires and checking fluids
    • Had them grease the driveshaft, grease the u-joints, and retorque the u-bolts as a precautionary measure since these have been deficient from the factory for a lot of people
    • Had them complete the H0G safety recall check for the potential rear differential leak, mine wasn't leaking so they just retorqued the bolts
    • After they continually refused, eventually had them complete the available Entune radio update, see T-SB-0103-16 Rev1 - page 5 - the firmware update available for my truck is "13TDANNA-DA11_0137.kwi". If you have any glitchy radio issues or Bluetooth syncing issues, this is your fix.
    • After they continually refused, eventually they verified that my truck already had the most current transmission TSB done from the factory and an update isn't available so the poor transmission performance is what it is, see T-SB-0077-16 Rev 1 - page 3 - the Rev1 calibration ID that was already on the truck is "896650401300". If your truck is a newer 2017 like mine, it's likely that you already have the TSB done as well. Unfortunately there isn't another update available at this time.
    • They completely refused to do a physical check of the automatic transmission fluid to verify if it is low which has been a reoccurring issue for a lot of people. They did make an interesting comment that there actually is a recall out for the low transmission fluid. They didn't provide me any information about it but said my VIN wasn't a part of it so they would not do the work unless I paid for it. I don't have any clunking or delays going into reverse which is where you'd see the issue first but I wanted to have it checked for peace of mind. If you have any delays going into reverse, definitely take it to the dealership since there's a high probability that it it is low
For reference, I have a 2017 TRD Sport Double Cab Short Bed 4x4 V6 Auto (7542) in blazing blue pearl purchased in Brevard county, Florida on December 22, 2016. My truck was manufactured in the Texas, USA plant in December 2016.

Your truck looks great as well! I've been considering swapping the front lower bumper trim to a black one from an OR like yours has but haven't decided for sure.

@hackeradam is selling one for $75. Not sure if that's a good price but just saw it and wanted to share with you if you do want that black piece.

Thanks! I appreciate it! I scratched my

I love them! It's subtle but is a huge upgrade in my opinion. I haven't had a chance with work lately to get some good photos installed

    Thanks, I love it!

I need to get some photos of the Pro tails installed.

I also am painting my exhaust tip black this weekend.

I installed an OEM roof rack yesterday. I honestly think it's ugly and I'm a little sad haha. I bought it for the practicality though since it's so much easier to transport 11-13ft paddleboards and kayaks. I'd love a prinsu rack but they are more than twice the cost with a long lead time.

More photos this weekend hopefully if it ever stops raining

I think I fell in love with your truck. Definitely sub'd. Absolutely amazing! Also, I may have skipped over this, but what camera do you use for your photos?

Thanks, Hayden! I really appreciate it!

All of the photos were taken with a Canon 5D Mark III, Canon Rebel T2i, or an iPhone 7 depending on which I grab and if the girlfriend lets me borrow her good gear :D

Latest updates that need photos / to be added to the build page
    • Removed OEM roof rack, it didn't last two weeks. I just hated how it looked
    • Removed tonneau cover and all bed accessories (will be for sale soon!)
    • Reinstalled exhaust tip after a coat of satin black high temp paint
    • Installed Pro tail lights (stock lights for sale soon!)
    • Installed a Thule Xsporter bed rack to make it easier to transport our paddleboards
I should have a chance to take photos at some point in the next few weeks... it'll be difficult since I'm traveling the next three weekends

How well are the KO2's on the highway/road? I'm just asking because I want to get those but I mainly do highway drives and off-road once in a while. Thank you

I didn't notice any difference in ride comfort or noise compared to the stock Toyo tires. A massive improvement over the Cooper Discoverer ATP all terrain tires that I had on my second gen which were much cheaper but also way rougher and noisier. I did lose 1 mpg or so but I also removed the front air dam around the same time. The odometer isn't accounting for the larger diameter tires though so I'm sure the overall mpg loss is than 1. The massive improvement in looks and offroad performance is worth it!
