7.5 front diff question

Did the 4runners and t100's come with a different front 7.5 front diff than our first gen taco's did?

Yes they did come with different diffs. The T100 used a 7.5" passenger drop low pinion diff that is pretty much the same as what you would find in a 95 and down pickup or 4Runner. The 96+ Tacoma and 4Runner came with a clamshell 7.5" driver drop high pinion diff that is completely different from the previous gen.

 

Thanks, thats what i though. found a sick deal on the TJM air locker for the 7.5 but its for the other diff.
