Yeah true. Lots of talk that it's going to resemble the Everest which would be a huge letdown.

That's the problem with concept vehicles. They turn a design and engineer team loose and they create amazing machines that would sell out instantly. Then it has to change to meet a billion gov't standards and poof, it's another minivan :(

Probably all to true. But we'll keep rocking our current runner and eyes are always open for an 85...

Yeah besides a new diesel cx-5 for the Mrs. soon, I'll be driving my taco into the ground. Then put in a crate engine when that happens. Especially given the trend of new car prices.

Our taco is in process of full resurrection. Really need to get on the frame stuff at some point. It's in pretty good shape but some preventative work wouldn't hurt. lot cheaper than a new frame someday.

New prices are insane?!?! when we were buying our Runner, we luckily had some cash to put down and a lot of equity in our trade or we would not be driving it... Crazy how much new vehicles in general are.

Something has to give eventually. The high prices and long loans can't keep going at this rate

Got two things on the brain right now, hop in with info if you Got it. Bout a cvt rtt and a bed rack. Thoughts on storage of those when not on truck? Also, went on a 6 day float and had all our food in yetis and other comparable coolers. Wondering if they are still worth the money if the main use is a 1, 2, 3 day camping trip?

    1. Hoist system for RTT and can you not just leave the bed rack mounted?
    2. Don't buy yeti. Go get an RTIC.

    ^^+1 for the hoist suggestion.
As for the roto-molded coolers, Where they shine for me is on hunting trips where they will be full of fresh meat for days. I don't open them though. Granted, they will work better than a $10 cooler for short camping trips where you open and close them. But for that purpose, we have a coleman xtreme 5 cooler. And it works surprisingly well. But if you do go the way of roto-molded... RTIC, or grizzly, brute, pelican... all the way, and only Yeti people will look down on you. Everyone else will acknowledge your common sense :D:thumbsup:

The tundra will be the only full size truck is buy if I ever do need one. I can get a 5.7 crew max 4x4 for under $40k which is a steal these days apparently.

I think I hit the brick wall about 2 hours ago and kept going, there's a light in the distance but I can't tell if it's the end of the tunnel (3am) or a train
