haha yeah no turd gen. I think the Coopers are slightly undersize which is probably why you didnt have to trim. I know the Toyos MT are slightly over size. Little plastic trimming is ok for me

i didnt like them. They are cheaper because I think they have a C rated sidewall. I tore 2 on stock friendly dirt roads, after airing down. The ST Maxx are E rated, and Ive never had any issues

Good to know. I've got an old crappy spare that is good for getting me a few miles home but I have a big trio to Utah and Colorado next month and I need to pull the trigger on a new tire. I live my st maxx but damn I forgot how pricey there are.

They dropped to like 200 per tire about a week ago, but are back up. You just have to check it periodically to see where the price is

    I like the ST-Maxx.

I REALLY beat the the hell out of them.

    Flex is very nice.
    IMG_0321.jpg

Popped a bead this weekend at 15 PSI, but the tire held together extremely well. Tire was reseated in the field with no issues.

I found a set of KM2s on Discount Tire Direct for $221 each with free shipping, and a $100 mail-in rebate. Anyone seen anything better than that? I'm open to other brand tires as well (looked at ST MAXX). These are going to be my trail-only tires as I'm going to keep my 265/75s for the street.

Check 4wp. They have some pretty killer tire sales from time to time. Got mine from them on the cheap with a no tax no shipping deal.

Thanks, just checked $234/ea with $100 off a set of 4. I'm fairly happy with the discount tire price so I'll probably pull the trigger shortly.

Pulled the trigger on five KM2s in 255/85/16 for $221/ea. less $160 in rebates (100 for buying 4+tires and 60 for getting their credit card). Figured screw it and got the credit card for the extra $60 off, plus they also give you 9mo. to pay for it interest free. I'll take a free loan anytime :woot:

Any feedback on 255/85/16 Toyo MT on a Gen 3. Seems slightly larger than the Maxx

    Edit

**Went all in on them (Toyo MT). Deal too good to pass up. Will post pics up when they get on**
