Hmmm... so sounds like the safest easiest route is to just reset it after the new tires. Are there any consequences to resetting it if it doesn't need to be?

I couldn't tell you bro, as I've yet to flash mine.. I have that first-time-phobia, lol... I'm now running a 285-70R17 with a 2.5" and it's only locked up once on me... So one more time, and it's reset-time.... Should work.
I'll say if you had to get an alignment done, do the reset... That's just me tho...

I been dealing with VSC issues since my lift 18 months ago. The system kicks in when at an incline and making a slight turn. Now i know how to fix it. Thank you!!

Unbelievable! I've had my lifted Tacoma for 7 years. I always assumed that the VSC and the associated beeping/breaking when going around curves was related to tire rubbing and tripping sensors. I am literary psyched to try this tomorrow!!!

ETA: DONE! I can't wait to take this baby on the road. I have one downhill curve where it kicks in every time. Thanks again guys. I can't believe I didn't know this for 7 years :)

This sounds awesome, I had no idea. I've got another question related with vsc. I bought an 06 6 spd with an inchoworm transfer case. The t-case allows me to be in 2wd lo range, 4wd lo range, 4hi and 2hi. The front hubs are now on there own seperate switch that allows me to engage or disengage in any gear range. So if I'm in 4lo going up a hill and i need to turn sharp I can unlock the hubs to avoid binding while staying in lo. I also have the ability to turn on my rear locker independently. When I am in 2wd I can also activate my front hubs, at least the light comes on indicating that they are. My question, or concern, is this. When i am in 2wd and i engage my front hubs, the (vsc) light comes on. No abs, no truck with squigly lines or any other lights, only the letters (VSC). Theoretically this means i should be able to have a little fun in the dirt. How much stress would I be putting on my front hubs? What speed would determine too fast? 2wd, vsc light on, front hubs enguged light on WTF? I suppose this question is more about front hub stress and top speed for the hubs themselves. But I'm also curiouse to know what the lone vsc light is actually indicating.

Has anyone ever only done step 1 without doing step 2? If so what happens?

I did this. Didn't notice much change, and today I went to down shift while going around a curve on the freeway when my vsc kicked in. I was NOT acting like a jack ass. It seamed like it was my front driver only...or mostly and I was turning left (driver). What did I do wrong? Could this be an alignment issue or something with the steering? Just asking cuz I recently noticed that my truck turns sharper passenger than driver. My front passenger rubbed on the frame and lower control arm just below the frame while the driver side had an inch of clearance between the tire and frame.
I take this curve the same everyday and this is the only time it's done it. I did the reclaibration last week.

I've had an issue where it feels like the outside tire on a curve wants to pull the steering back to straight. It is almost like it pulses with the rotation of just that tire. I was convinced it was a bearing going bad, but It doesn't do it on every turn, and happens turning in both directions.
