This thread got me to try a set. They should be in Monday, which is a long wait for someone as impatient as me. They made me a deal I couldn't pass, 4 new LT265/75r16E with replacement certs. for $794 OTD. With the $135 in rebates, brings it down to about $659 otd.

Had I not got the certs, would have been $145 a tire then rebates pulling down to 111.25 a tire.

is regearing on a 4.0L V6 really needed when going up to a 33"? looking to get these tires as well. Currently have stock TRD sport tires 265/65/17. Fully aware the 285's are significantly bigger

I'm running stock gears with 285's. Also a few hundred pounds of armor. It's was a noticeable power difference starting out from a stop. I don't notice anything at highway speed though.

yeah no plans as of yet for all the heavy armor. figured there would be a loss of power but wasn't sure how much

I plan on going up to at least a 34 in the future. I will definitely be regearing then.

New tires on! Super happy with them! They ride better, steer better, are much quieter, and damn is that tread chunky.

Way to early to comment on life but, so far happy!

I was super excited about these tires put them on 265 75 16 standard load. Having said that at 17xxx they are gone and got a credit from discount tire. While they lasted they preformed great in snow and some offroading. But as far as my experience I would never recommend this tire. I switched to duratracs too good to pass up with credit and rebates they cost me $228.

single cab, sorry to hear you did not get the mileage you expected out of your tires. Thank you for posting up your positive experience with the store for getting you a credit.

on the tires yall are having to return for issues with "premature wear" does it seem to be one batch or limited to one size? or even pmetric vs lt sizes?

logically, to me anyways, the lt sizes would last longer due to the rubber makeup.

Not sure I got mine last June if that helps. To me it doesn't make sense to have a lt tire on a Tacoma. No need to have a harsh ride although yes I do understand certain tires in certain sizes popular are only e rated. I've never seen a tire wear out quicker with mostly highway use. Disappointing.

From what I've seen so far it seems most of you all with premature wear were running 265/75r16 p rated and around similar mileage so probably all bought around the same time...so maybe all within a certain production range with softer rubber. I'll update with my mileage as time goes on as well.

I'm running E rated tires and I don't think they ride bad at all. In fact, they ride worlds above my BFGs, which were only D rated tires. I don't think I would be happy with P rated tires given how soft the E rated tires ride. The tire roll would be tremendous.
