Changing brake (@ 50k miles) pads as soon as the stores open this morning. I haven't done brake shoes in at least 15 years lol. Don't they typically last longer anyway? I need an excuse not to fuck with them rears right meow.

My fronts needed to to be changed at 50k and my drums at 80k. I had to change the fronts on my wife's RAV4 at 25k, she's also the type to slam on her brakes every where she goes. I just put in the ceramic pads from autozone that are suppose to lifetime warrantied

Should be okay for the most part. I've driven on 5 once for a couple days when I broke a stud.

Plasti-dip matte clear experiment isn't looking great... been about an hour and there is still a bit of splotchy finish.

Anyone happen to know of a good paint place that won't break the bank? It's for just a set of fender flares.

I'm also considering getting a quote on wrapping them.

Do you an an airless sprayer? You can buy plasti dip in a 1 gallon bucket and throw it in the airless and it will come out smooth.

Nah, don't have a sprayer and I also am restricted to what I can do on an apartment patio with a drop cloth and rattle cans, which means not much.

On the bright side I have learned enough about dip to know that 5+ coats means taking it back off is way, waaaay easier.

We'll see, maybe it just has to cure a little longer but I'm not optimistic.

When I dipped my grille I found that if you hold the can just close enough it lays down smoothly. Not sure if this helps.

Looking for a good pen style flashlight for work. Any recommendations that won't break the bank?

I had the same thing happen on a Rav4 once, then broke a cheap c-clamp replacing the lug.

Yeah I'm familiar with dipping stuff, done a little CRF100F dirt bike in olive drab to spruce up the red-faded-to-pink bodywork:

Turned out great, love the "military" look.

This matte clear stuff is different though, I laid it down just like I did with other jobs but it came out splotchy and looking like it had a lot of shit stuck in it:
In direct sun it would have looked extra garbage.

Bright side is it is satisfying as fffffuuuuuuuuuck to pull back off:

(What can I say, I'm a "silver lining" kinda guy. :D)

Peeling it off is great if the surface under is fairly smooth and you put down enough layers... My roof is sun damaged and refuses to let go of the plasti-dip.

Awesome! Just ordered it. If it performs how I want it to I may order a few more to keep around the house, truck, and my day bag. Thanks for the info! I have a streamlight on my glock 17 and love it.

Call the po po. Give them the info. My neighbors dog attacked my other neighbors dog. Fucked it up pretty good neighbor apologized and neighbor excepted the apology. Two weeks later neighbors dog goes after my dog on a leash their dog is loose because they leave back gate open. I kick dog in the neck and knock it the fuck out. Go get neighbor and tell him about incident. He apologizes to me about me knocking his dog out. Love it.
Sorry to hear about your loss man.

Hello fellas! Been busy as fuck lately with life. I did have a little time to do a small mod today. I wanted to mount a flashlight in the bed along with an extinguisher. Got the light mounted and the extinguisher bracket is made and painted, just need some hardware to mount it on the other side of the bed.

    How is everyone doing?
