Line mx still requires A&P, pay is good and on the line there is much more job appreciation for mx at least. More trouble shooting which is fun less open this area so inspection can look at it for 2 secs then close it all up, Which sucks. It's rough for everyone on the line some days. But it's still a neat job. How many people are trusted to tow a multi million dollar aircraft. You rampers are an important part of the process we couldn't do our job if you don't do yours.

 

Finished the drivers inner fender.

 

Now to do somthing with that unfinished bumper

 

Welded up the structure of the bumper tomorrow I'll finish it.

My old man had an 83 sr5. As a little kid it felt like a monster truck. I had a lot of good memories in that truck. In 2012 my dad came to visit and we went out for some beers I let him drive home cause he was the least drunk. It was the first time since the 90s he drove a Toyota pickup. He smiled as he drove off the curb out of the parking lot. He whipped it around the corner onto the on ramp. An old song came on the radio. After the song ended I asked,"what do ya think." He grinned a little," it feels good...pretty rugged just like mine...AND TOTALY GUTLESS OVER 70, THEY ADDED HALF A LITER AND THE DAMN THING STILL CANT GET OUT OF ITS OWN WAY ON THE HIGHWAY, THATS THE ONE THING I COULDNT STAND ABOUT MY sr5...nice truck son, I like it."his truck looked just like this one. I'll post some picks when I find them. He had torson posi trac that he installed front and rear. Torson was bought out by Eaton and they're posi's are now called truetracs. He finally sold the truck on the lemon lot at RAF Lakenheath in the late 90s. The 22r was the first engine I ever rebuilt, with his help, when I was 9.

So this happened!!! Broke something in the diff, probably a spider or axle gear. Got torqued funny when I hit some rocks that were sliding down the hill. Luckily I have USAA and they've got me covered. Gonna take the opportunity to do a few upgrades. Diamond axle on order, arbs front and back, giants dd link kit and some +2 long travel (can't decide which long travel kit to use) good thing I just put a tac on the tube around the fill plug it allowed the housing to split and the rear end to not lock up

 

Ok got a little insurance money for the axle damage and I was able to order tc long travel and giant motorsports ddl kit it's all sitting in my living room waiting on a diamond 8.4 full float axle. Oh got as many light bars as a jk now with a little left over moola from the axle as well.

 

How are you liking that air cleaner setup? Love how crazy it is, may be doing something similar but not a roof mount. Doing anything but a snorkle mod
