    I have the 300 and have been real happy with it. Never had it overheat but I run 265/75 so not working it as hard as 285 would.

    The GrillCraft consists of cutting out the majority of the insert and only uses 4 screws.Don't know what it consists of with that one which is similar.
    I used my Dremel with plastic cut off's and then used my die grinder with my air compressor with different grit sanding paper to smooth everything out.Can be done in a hr and some change.Measuring what areas GrillCraft specs were is where i spent the addition time so i cut properly.

    Yeah unfortunately we're all aware of that!Is there instructions posted for that grill for the install!?Before i ordered my GrillCraft i was able to view the grill and install instructions on their website before i purchased it.When i got the grill it also came with a colored print out on how to.A Dremel tool will do the job for cutting out the plastic insert.
