Latest Northern Ca Ham Radio Classes & Testing: One day Ham License Oct 7th, 2017

Amateur Radio goes well with Tacomas!
This is a great event where you will get opportunities to actually go on a Radio yourself and see what it's all about. This is a fun, FREE family event!

 

would i be able to get info on the general class test there?

 

If you are talking about a testing session, we are actually having one on Saturday at Field Day. (actual hours to be announced); but if you are not sure about taking the test that day and have questions we'll answer them!

If you are talking about the "Get Your Ham License in a Day Study Session and Exam" we should be able to answer any questions about it there. The Study Session is on the first Saturday in October, and in about a week you can look up the flyer at BeniciaARC.com under the flyer link. Either way you can come to BARC's Annual Field Day!

Getting your General license opens up so much more you can do on HF bands/frequencies!
My husband and I both upgraded above the Technician and love the extra ham opportunities!

 

Since the ARRL Annual Field Day has passed, if you have any questions you can either post here, look up what the BenciaARC.com website has to say, or you can even come to a Benicia Amateur Radio Club Meeting! They generally meet on the second Tuesday of each month at the Benicia Downtown Fire Station. Please enter via the Second street side doors. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Meeting Starts at 7:30. We are there eager to answer any questions you have on Ham radio! We also usually have a speaker or an activity.
Like this month we have Captain Tuuli Messer-Bookman, KE6SDT, as the speaker for our September 12th BARC Meeting. Her presentation will be, “Maritime Casualties: Causes and Consequences".
The Current Tenured Professor at The California Maritime Academy will bring copies of her book that her presentation is based on! All that are interested are welcome!
We also have a pre-meeting meal at a local Pizza place that all are welcome to attend anytime after 5:00. (The Sept 12th meeting we meet for the pre-meeting meal at Pizza Pirate in Solano Square).

If you haven't already gotten your HAM license: do eeet. It's totally worth it having that extra tool at your disposal.
