    Depends on parts choices, labor costs, etc.

    Some guys do it for cheapish with salvage parts and their own sweat and blood. Others spend $20k?

    I think this is one of those things where, "if you have to ask, you can't afford it". As T4RFTMFW mentioned above, there will be a huge difference between the cost of you and your buddies doing all the teardown, welding and fabrication, vs. driving it into a shop and saying, "Here's my Mastercard. Call me when it's done".
