    I have a 98 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 SR5

I was under the body today checking out my shocks as they will need to be replaced soon and noticed that rear transmission where it connects to the U Joint bracket appears to look wet.

I'm not a master with fluid leaks, I mainly work on suspension components and I certaintly am not a genius when it comes to Transmissions. I wanted to ask for anyones opinion who may have experienced this or knows what it could be?

Is the rear seal leaking or is this normal for a tacoma transmission to look like this around the U joint and the rear transmission?IMG_7146.jpg
