Indeed, that was several levels of gnarly above anything id done before

Good day, for the most part. Tandem will see it soon for a new alignment.

Not really sure. We were in a convoy of jeeps and trail leader didnt know i was 2wd. All i really remember was manhandling the steering wheel, heard the pop but i wasnt all the way up yet so i stayed on the throttle till there was a flat spot. Had 2-3 people helping me change the wheel in what felt like f1 pit stop timing then the next couple of turns took a combination of rearward and forward pulls to get me out. After that, it was beer and burger time.

My ifs skid is banged up @Suprajim54 split his. My alignment is slightly out of whack.

Edit: i was running 16-17 psi. Will keep it around 20 going forward

Ah nice. F1 pit stop tire changes are pretty sweet!

Would much rather be out at Bridgeport that stuck in the office. I need some wheeling soon. Think I may have to hit up Barnwell on July 1st weekend for some July 4th Shenanigans.

Sounds like a good time! I think i'm happy I couldnt make it today. It also reminds me why I need to order full skids sooner than later.

I dinged up the front alum plate/skid that connects to the bumper. It was notched on the back for the bend and split when I ran up on a rock.

Also got some new scratches on the steel IFS skid. Didn't lose my Firestik tip this time though.

Way crazier than I ever did in my 2wd GMC, that's for damned sure ** and more than I've done in the Taco too **

Got my pods swapped out in the @usoffroad bumper this morning. I can confirm that you can indeed remove and install the lights in the bumper without removing the lower bumper skin, just the grill is enough to access the bolts. Had more on the TODO list, but the beers last night caught up with me trying to do work in the heat/humidity so called it a day early. I did get the soldering done for my in-cab winch controls so just need to run yet another set of wires from the front of the truck, through the engine compartment, and into the cab to get them linked up with the switch wires run a few weeks ago.

Also on my todo list, spark-plugs and power steering fluid, but those aren't very interesting.

As long as you cleaned any mud or dirt off the bead you should be fine

Anyone have an old rigid or rigid compatible wiring harness end piece like the below laying around they don't need? Trying to avoid having to buy an entire harness that I'm just going to chop up and leave half of it in the box.

Yeah, that's plan B, which will require me borrowing those crimp tools again (or investing in my own set). Figured if someone had an old harness around that I could solder in that would save me assembling the end pieces. Didn't want to get too invested in this idea as I'm still debating if I want to sell the Sirius Pro lights I've got or mount one of them on the bed brackets I just put in this morning (bolted one of the lights to one side just to cover a bit of rust left over from the previous owner of the brackets having a CB antenna installed on them). This is how I make more work for myself.

I might pretty soon, going to chop up my bumper lightbar harness to use for my rocklights and pretty sure that connector is on it right now.
