I'm gonna have my hi lift mounted to the spare like that. It's all good! Thanks man!

Nahh! On 4runners there aren't a lot of great spots to put a hi lift. That is the best place I can find. I have other plans for some gas cans.

Hey anybody that uses this electric water pump, do you know if I can cut off the tube hanging down safely? I think it would be fine, just don't want to cut part of the mechanics.

I'm thinking of hooking a hose to it and running the hose into my jerry can so it's more flexible.

Got a basic idea for my drawer/slide I'm building. Should get going on it this month.

I'm going to measure tonight, but the plan is to make a box with 2 rubbermaid action packers (24 gal) side by side on the bottom slide, then a fridgeslide on top of those for my cooler. I don't have a fridge, but the 65 quart coleman should fit nicely and pull out so I can drain it out of the truck.

Pretty excited to get it going.

Roof for hilift or on the front bumper hoops? If you get a front bumper?

Nope. Inside the tube is a metal shaft that spins the impeller located at the bottom.

    ...too much shit to list.
I replaced my fuel spouts with the water spouts. Doesn't leak anymore. Just make sure to vent it if you're going up in elevation or large temperature changes.

just mount it to your slider. That's most likely what youll use it on so may as well keep it close? :anonymous:

That sounds like a projectile in a crash

Anything you mount on the truck is a projectile in a crash. You think that the rotopax mounts on my truck would really hold up in a crash? No way. Its gonna send 4 gallons flying into the road and 2 1 gallon cans into the back window of my cab. Hi lift is mounted on the other side of the bed rack and even those heavy duty mounts ain't gonna hold up to a collision.

Yeah but I'd rather be hit with plastic than a hunk of steel. Say you have it on a hoop on your bumper. You rear end somebody in a Prius and the hi lift goes through their rear window into their head. Rotopax on a bed rack won't do that.

the point is, the more you can minimize the projectile's trajectory towards your passenger compartment/potential other vehicle's pass compartment in crash, the better. especially with things like a hi-lift

Quick question for you guys. My battery is needing to be replaced and I am looking into the optima blue top. I don't really have the funds for a dual battery setup at the time. Could I run a fridge and a winch off of a single blue top or is there a better single battery alternative? The fridge would be the 65L dometic. I've searched a bit and couldn't really find any info on the blue top.
