I picked it up on Monday, after getting tired of tire kickers- traded in my '11 single cab.

This one is a '17, 2.7 manual 4x4. It has the convenience package. Taking some getting used to after having driven an auto for 6 years. That hill start assist shit screwed me all up at first. I still haven't gotten that figured out! ha

    Nice, looks good!

Edit: That hill hold feature is weird for sure. I've used it on a Subaru XV before and it's weird to not roll back!

Also, found that my tonnoue cover from my '11 fit on my '17 with very little problem. If I get time this weekend- I'm going to throw on my dark satin wheels.

Is that hill start assist a standard thing? Mine seems to do it but I don't recall seeing it on the features sheet.

I will tint it eventually, and at some point- level it out with a slightly bigger tire. toyo open country ATs, or the dynapro ATMs, i had those and they were really light weight.

Did you have to get new tpms sensors going to the new wheels?

I acutally have my stock ones back on for now. i started getting a bad shake when braking for some reason. Took em off- it went away. not sure whats up. They were just balanced too.
The truck is back at toyota for warranty work. The speedo isnt working correctly, so they have to put a new instrument cluster in it.

Got pretty much the same truck as yours. I like chrome so I ditched the SR grill for TRD grill. I added new Tacoma door emblems and have new polished 8 hole rims with raised letter tires that I am going to install as soon as the Bora spacers I ordered show up. Plan to add stainless bed rails and Limited fog lights. Most likely will stop there. I really like my SR. We were thinking up names for it like I see these other guys doing. Toymater.

Those are OEM Toyota that were optional on '16 SRs but now only on SR5s.

yup, you can still get them on the SR, but not in all areas. apparently different options are available in different parts of the country so I hear. I kept them off my old truck.
Im throwing them back on in a few weeks, I got OE TRD offroad tires, the goodyears...so that will make it look a bit better, and getting the windows tinted alittle will also help. I feel so naked without tint. People can look at me, and I cant people watch at stop lights. Got busted scoping out this blond the other day, because i forgot I didnt have tint haha.
