IMG_4808.jpg I keep about $3k in tools + Honda Generator in the bed of my 2012 DCLB under a Bakflip cover.

I installed a pin switch on my tailgate but can't figure out how to put an alarm trigger switch on my bakflip...

I purchased a DEI magnetic reed switch thinking it would be no problem but I can't figure out a mounting point where it won't stick out so much and get broken off...

Any suggestions appreciated, I have a bunch of different size "L" brackets sitting here.....Warren IMG_4807.jpg

I've done a mod or two
Use a stronger magnet than the one the reed switch comes with so you can recess the reed switch more.

IMG_4821.jpg I did think of that and also ordered some of these earth magnets with a hole in it to mount but I'm not sure how far away I can mount it (or polarity?)
