I know the info is out there but, when you work 72 hours a week on the road...narrowing down a kit is tough.

I have a 2000 SR5 xtra cab 4x4. It is stock at the moment. All I want is to level the front end with some beefier springs and shocks. Not a cheap kit but just curious what's out there. I have heard of the good kits...Toytec, OME, Old Man EMU. I'm not looking for serious off road capabilities, just a overall good kit for occasional off road use. I won't be lifting my truck but I want something that will last and is good quality.

    Thanks for the help.

Well, I want to beef up the front end. When I take it on the beach the stock shocks bottom out without that much speed. I don't daily drive this truck either so I'm not looking for some plush feel. I just want a nice, solid setup.

price vs utility, the bilstein lift seems to be the popular choice and a good price.

5100s set at middle setting will level. Toytec and ome KITS are lift kits not just leveling kits.

One more question to add to this. I mine as well replace the coils while I am at it so, Old man emu 2881 or 2880. The 2881's from what I have read have the capability of lifting the front about a 1/2" more than the 2880. Thanks again.

The pictures I've seen here seem to indicate that 881s with stock rear springs will provide a leveled truck in many cases, depending on your rear springs' condition. If using 5100s don't use anything but the "0", lowest spring perch in that case.

OME coils like that are a bit stiffer than stock however. Not race stiff nor stiff enough to support a heavy winch etc, but just know they won't likely be "as plush" as stock front coils.

Something that (again, from what I've read) that probably has a better chance of retaining the stock ride quality (which is either better or worse, depending on perspective) while proving some lift is the Rancho QuickLift "loaded strut" (it's sold as a spring/strut combo). It's in their 9000 series, which features adjustable firmness for the struts/shocks.

Just ordered some 5100's and OME 881's . Looking forward to leveling the truck out and going from there.
