How much did it cost to get new wheels and tires mounted and balanced? And to have the factory TPMS switch from stock set to new set?

Discount Tires quoted at around $90
A local shop quoted $15 per so $60
And freaking Toyota dealership quoted $60 to do mount and balance & the re-configuring of TPMS it was like $200!!!!

Sound about right for the dealership to be so much more when the other shops said they would do it no extra charge?

Excerpt: I already have a dislike for my dealership's service department. Got 5k service done 3 weeks ago and they needed to order me a new roof top molding because one on the truck is not flush.

The service advisor said they would have in less than a week and call to set up appointment. She never called and I just called and asked when they got part in because no one called me and she said she didn't know.

Walmart being cheapest I think. Personally I like smaller shops that are generally 75-100 because they take their time to be sure not scratch rims and have a bit more knowledge about mounting different types. Saying that, Walmart does do my atv rims but face it they don't need balancing and the rims get abused.

I paid $65 after taxes at Tires Plus today for exactly what you are asking about.

Important to note, what method of balancing, and type of weights? Don't need to setup tpms of your not changing wheels/tires
