Any way you can repost your mod? I really want to be able to toggle the backup camera without throwing it in reverse. I tend to coast in neutral the last bit when backing in parking spots, which can get dangerous with camera off. ... I know, bad habit with a manual.

I ended up tapping into the wires for lighting for other switches, other than that, she got pushed back into the dash ktnkf the way. I was just gonna cut the switch out, but this gives me the option to go back one day if needed.

Ultimately I want to get that spot converted into a mount for a second switchpro.

I could probably do a lot less if I wanted to link up some of my camping scene lights onto a single switch, but I honestly like the ability to control the individual sides. I have six that are running different light options, a compressor on the way, and saving the last spot on that one for a horn update. This will leave me needing additions for my onboard water, as well as some mad scientist ideas for future camping updates. It's probably overkill... but it keeps me busy.

Okay here you go. I wired up my ditch lights using the qi switch. I had to cut one factory wire. You could probably use a tap but I didn't have any.

Im not fancying the photos up. So you'll have to take the images and words and put them together. :hungry:

    Here is the qi connector.
    IMG_1098.jpg

    The wires of interest.
    Gray is acc 12v
    Green is dimmer
Blue is switched 12v. Meaning when you press the qi button it has 12v. You want your relay attached to the blue wire.

    Here is mine cut.
    IMG_1100.jpg

Connect your power request to blue and you are done. Save adding a switch!:broccoli:

There's not really much for me to re-post. I just hooked up the blue wire and ground to a relay just like OP did, but I used posi-taps and left the Qi functionality intact (which I don't actually use).

I'm thinking about making a switch panel insert somehow to just cover that whole area as it's wasted space for me. I'll post a pic of my idea when I get the pic from @Shmellmopwho

Man I would be happy with just a blank plate insert that was custom cut to fit in there, then we could drill out/cut it to fit our selves.

It's really just that pad in the truck. I have several samsung wireless chargers in my house and my office at work and they work great without getting hot.

My old s5 and s6 never got hot on other wireless chargers, only in the truck on that stupid pad.

The 5 had wireless charging? I had the 6-8+. The 6's crappy battery did well with the Qi pad in the truck, but the 8+ has a pretty good battery...rarely use it except if I'm on a long road trip streaming music.

The 5 did not. I bought a wireless charging card for it. My 6 had the worst battery ever and charged like 1% every 20 minutes in the truck. Playing music? Drained battery. Maps? Battery drain. That thing was useless for me.
