I'm wondering if you could do me a favor (or anyone else w/ a 100XR w/ vented windoors)? I want to replace my one driver's side solid windoor with a vented one and the local dealer is telling me it won't work because the vented windoor is dimensionally 1" smaller in width and height, which I'm 99% sure is bullshit. I'm quite certain they are mistaking the vented windoor with the standard vent window. Anyway, would you mind giving me a couple of measurements to compare with my on truck? Specifically the height and width of the window (not the frame). Reference photos:

ARE V Series in Magnetic Gray. Front drop/slide window, roof tracks, without trim, and double T locks. My local shop fucked up on the brake light install and popped a few fuses, and many metal screws have warped the factory metal as well, but overall I am happy. Also, the area below the rear window is linexed which i did not know when ordering - it is nice. I removed the back decal, as well as the two sides, and added LED lights from MattGecko. Ordered a Prinsu TopRac in preperation for a CVT RTT.

Lurker here. Read every one of these shell posts, many 2x. Considered the auto lock, the frameless windows, rails, roof rack, windoors, but the truth is I don't need all that. So I decided on: 2 T-handle locks, fold down front slider, prop light.

ARE Dealer #1- 25 mi away quoted me $1880.44.
ARE Dealer #2- 23 mi away quoted me $1615.00.
ARE Dealer #3- 4 mi away quoted me $1639.86.
ARE dealer #4- 90 mi away quoted me $1590.00

Ranch dealer quoted me $1297.44 for a Ranch Sierra.
Century dealer didn't respond on my ask for an Ultra quote.

The Ranch Sierra seems to fit my needs for about $300 less than a comparably equipped ARE V series. Warranties are basically the same, w ARE maybe having a slight edge. HOWEVER, I haven't read much about the fitment of the Ranch and what I have read by searching here seems to indicate there is a substantial lip/overlap at the bed rails. Can anyone comment on this? The dealers tell me fitment and style are good on both, but I can't get eyes on a Ranch on a 3rd gen locally. Appreciate any thoughts.

i see you have a the pet screens. do they mount to the frame or the window?

question, if i got sliding windoors, would i still be able to access the inside of of the cab? or would the screens be blocking me if they are mounted to the frame of the topper and not the windoor itself?

    where are the screens mounted?

XR has 50/50 sliding windows. XL has "SUV Style", which are more like 70/30 windows and I THINK they just tilt out or something, no slide. With windoors, they are pretty much the same.

Someone please correct me if I've got this wrong.

They are mounted to the frame of the window. I don't have the windoors only the regular sliding windows so I couldn't say for sure but my guess would be that you could still use the "door" feature of the windoors

Front hitch, 5100's, 885's, Snugtop XV, Slimline II, Sumos, bed platform, AAL, interior LED lights in cab and bed, exterior camp/backup LED's, Rigid DOT Fogs and D2 Pro Spots, Mega Ultra +130 bulbs, heavy-duty fog light, spot light, and low beam wiring harness, Weathertech mats, Re-routed dif breather and A/C drip line, dash cam, front and side cameras, anytime rear camera and nav, Blue Seas fused bus bars to cab and bed, heavy-duty bus bar w/Anderson quick disconnects under the hood for powering winch, solar, air compressor, and other accessories.
I wanted a Snugtop Xtra Vision, but I couldn't justify the price, so I settled on an MGM Snugtop Rebel w/windoors for my 2017 DCSB TRDOR. The best OTD price I could get for a new one was about $2,400. So I checked Craigslist almost daily for a few weeks. Since I kept seeing the same ones, I expanded my radius from San Diego to L.A., then to Central CA, up to NorCal, and eventually to Oregon and Arizona. There were a couple of near hits, but they were either a LB or the wrong color. I check a reputable body shop for the price to color match the shell and it would have added another $1,000 to the price, so that option was out.

I was a day away from ordering a new Rebel when I finally found a keeper on Craigslist. It was an MGM Xtra Vision! It included the fold-down front slider, and a set of Thule Aero bars w/Dakine foam covers. Although it doesn’t have windoors, it has the sliding screens to allow outside access. Altogether, it is worth around $3,500+.
Unbelievably, the guy was selling it for $800. :yay: I would have happily paid DOUBLE that price! The ad was only 3 hours old when I saw it, so I was fortunately the first one to respond. For that price there was no reason to question or haggle with him because I wanted that shell.
We made arrangements and I drove the 4 grueling hours :turtleride: (LA traffic!) to Carpinteria. I gave him an extra $50 because I felt bad getting it for so cheap! It cleaned up nicely and looks especially good with my Front Runner rack! Without a doubt, this was my best deal EVER. And if I decide to sell the Thule racks, it may be one of the top 10 deals on TW! lol

I've got the same top on order. How do you like it so far. Beside the realignment, any issues I should be aware of? I'm a little nervous about rain leaking into the bed.
