Hmm, I guess I was thinking that the one's you had were the 4Runner Pro version. I'll have to look into the kind you have.

So I plastidipped the lettering on my Pro grill to red then now it's quicksand. It's a nice , fairly quick and definitely cheap mod to do.

quick collage of the colors and sr5 grill.

So the quicksand color on the grill is Plastidip? What is the color called on the can?

no it's actually the base paint I've been using for color matching. It worked without dissolving the dip which is great so I can peel it off later. There is a can of plastidip that does appear to be a close match to quicksand though.

Do you mind sharing a link to the paint you're using? Sorry if you mentioned it earlier in this thread.

I bought the paint here http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

but you can also have a local paint supply company mix it and put in aerosol form. quicksand paintcode is 4V6.

Not a build but did an oil change this weekend. If you're a noob at doing oil changes, check out my video.

If you do not mind me asking what did the 2017 TRD Pro wheels run you, I'm running the same truck as you and am digging the look of the TRD wheels. About the cheapest I can find is 240 a wheel, or is that just the going rate?

    Hi,

I got the set used from a Pro owner for a really good price. they're not on the used market too much.

I thought i saw some from ebay under 200. im sure you can get a local dealer to get to that amount. i've seen $800 listings for a new set.

Yesterday I took my middle child Jonah to a local trail called Holy Jim. It was the first time for the Taco and us to get dirty ever.

He had a lot of fun and I now know how I why I had the wrong 4lo settings. I didn't read instructions. lol.

Didn't go too far and on the way back caught footage of a small fire and appeared to be caused by an RC plane hitting a line. Firetrucks started coming in force.

    Happy 4th of July everyone!

Got a mod I didn't really care about but then the opportunity came and I LOVE it.

I combined 2 videos of how good Wolfgang sealant to aid in washing the taco after a dirty trail run. Anywho check out the mystery mod! Pic may have already given it away.

I'm working on BHLM and it's just a total PITA. I have a extra set of lights so I haven't been rushing it.

I don't have an oven (long story) so I made my own with a box, electric roasting oven , foil and a box.

It literally took me hours to figure out the right temp and it was just really hard to get that sealant to give.

I finally got it open and did some disassembly:

So far it's painted and tinted. Just need time to yank my headlights off my Taco and crack those open to swap internals. I'm totally dreading it.

So, I've been contemplating doing this, but everyone always makes it seem like such a pain.

    So tell me.....

    Is it worth it?

I know you don't have it done yet and won't know until then, but I can't see this much work for some blacked out headlights being worth the headache. Prove me wrong though, please.

Honestly unless you've worked on headlights before, it's not worth it to me. This sealant is a major PITA vs what I've messed with in the past. This stuff isn't difficult but tedious. Experience is a plus.

Since I'm already in the middle of things I have to finish it. It's just how I roll. lol

As thanks for getting 500 subscribers on my YouTube channel. I'm doing a free giveaway of a set of MostPlus H11 LEDs I reviewed a few months ago. I went HID retrofit and don't need it.

Check out my YouTube video, subscribe if you haven't, LIKE and comment.

After 100 likes I will have a website that scans for comments to pick the winner. Thanks all for all the support!
