hey everyone, I have a question regarding a friends truck...

The battery died in his 14 Tacoma, new battery j stalled and now nothing turns on and the engine won't start. We are thinking somehow the engine got locked out but I haven't been able to find anything online and the owners manual doesn't say anything. Any help would be appreciated!!!
