this is probably a strange question and Iʻm not sure how to word it correctly, but is there any risk when carrying stuff that spans the truck bed to the cab, if itʻs mounted on both places? for example, I have a Snugtop that has a Yakima rack system. I also run one rack on the cab. basically I do this so I can center/transport an OC1 on my truck.

however, for offroad purposes, I was wondering if thereʻs any risk running an awning that is mounted to the snugtop rack and the cab rack? a long time ago, someone (not on TW) told me not to do it, cause the cab and bed "twists" when offroading, which could potentially damage whatever is mounted.

    halp  lol

The frame twists quite a bit bro.
The bed is bolted solid to the frame and stays with it while the cab is on rubber bushings.

ah damn, mahalo @bullaculla. I was kinda thinking there was truth to what I heard, but I wasnʻt sure to what degree. looks like Iʻll have to stick to using both racks over the snugtop when I go offroad. or, I could attach it to the snugtop and cab if I want to cruise the mall with my awning :anonymous: lol. well, hopefully this thread helps someone in the future.

What awning? The Arb? I think it's pretty solid and really only needs two mounts.

the TJM one that Boss was selling super cheap. I think itʻs similar to the smaller ARB. I was only considering running it from snugtop to cab so I could push it more toward the front of the truck, but it was just a thought.
