All i want to do is level my truck. I dont want to get spacers because ive heard theyre sketchy and i dont want my truck to ride like crap...I cant afford a full blown lift kit. Can i just buy from Bilstein 5100 shocks and set then to 2" and be level? Im fine with leaving the rear stock. Im a noob so sorry if this has been asked/answered already lol

That's what majority will recommend. Don't do spacers, just order the 5100s and set to your liking.

Just the shocks. To be fair, the ride will stiffen a bit, but you don't NEED new springs. Hardware can be re-used. I just helped a buddy do install actually. You could get the top plate spacer for the driver's side, it fixes the lean due to the gas tank, and it's like $25.

The BEST way is to do springs with it, which run about $175. OME 883's will give you a 1.5 inch lift up front, which is just about level, and probably ride a lot smoother than just the 5100's.

    If it was ME:
5100's (set to 0 lift, the springs will give the lift)
    OME 883's
1/4 inch top plate spacer for driver's side

All in all, under $400 still to do it that way. Not the cheapest, but I think it's the way to be happiest with it.

Or you could just jump off the 'level' bandwagon and leave the rake that is purposefully engineered into the truck.

Consider swapping the springs. Our trucks are driver-side heavy, if you measure the height, you will see the driver-side front sits a 16th or more lower. Mine was an eight and swapped springs when I installed my 5100's at about 60K.

Here's a piece of advice I wish I had taken seriously when I first started modifying my truck:

Don't do anything until you can actually afford to do it right. Patience will help you be money away in the long run. Do it once, do it right and don't look back.

I did spacers and they work great for me. Granted my truck will never be a serious offroader.
