Hey guys. I am looking at an 08 Tacoma double cab,v6,4x4 with 100k miles. Truck is in good shape and looks to be taken care of. Anyone have any insight of this model? I seen recalls on this yr model. Just trying to decide. Thanks

Frame rust and check to see if any of the other recalls have been done. I.e: leaf spring and spiral (clock) cable.

I have an 07 tacoma...the airbag light is on and apparently this may be a spiral cable/clockspring issue...Is there some way to check is the spiral cable is faulty?...a resistant value, maybe?

I'll third the rust and leaf springs part. Huge to look for. But the leaf springs are easily set up to be replaced at a Toyo dealer.

And the usual nuts and bolts of buying a car of course.

Thanks for the info. I have read about the frame rust and leaf spring recall. The truck is a South Carolina truck thats now in NC. I haven't got a chance to go look at it yet. Hoping it won't get gone before I get to see it.

Good luck to ya! Hopefully that humidity hasn't taken it's toll on it out there!
