Didn't want to go the Velcro route. Mine is on the steering column held in place by a 1" flat bungee cord. 4 years and counting.

I have the velcro on the steering wheel base, just infront of the gauge cluster. Easy to see, play with, easy to runs wires, and easy to mount. I thought the same about the velcro, however I got over that super quick.

I bought the Blendmount. It's a little bit spendy for what it is, but it's a nice piece, and I really like how it's out of the way, but easy to see.

Thanks, seems in front of the instrument cluster makes the most sense. I've adjusted the steering column and seems to fit fairly well and is holding in place after running the cable to the left side of the steering wheel and tucking it under cluster. The other challenge I have is the x gauge codes for the engine oil. I loaded the codes from the on line categories X-Gauge under Scion FRS / Subaru BRZ - Toyota 86> shown below an was reading -40 degrees. I found another set of codes but these gave no reading.

    Any help is appreciated

X2 on the blendmount. This location made it easy to hide and route the wire to the OBD2 port.

I cut a piece of ABS to make a mount and mounted it underneath the climate control knobs.
