Talked to Gadget today and sent him some picture of what I want the dump to look like. They will take a look but they think they can do it. I want it to dump like the MBRP.

Please dyno if you go with that setup. I think you can gain 50 hp with everything you said. No joke.

That would be more than I expect. It will depend on what OVTune can do.

So would you fail a state inspection with this?

    Edit: yes it would

Not in my state. The first set of catalytic converters are retained and the O2 sensor.

Not really. Only if they do an actual smog test in your state. In VA its only a visual inspection/ listen as you drive up kind of thing and this setup would easily pass. The O2 sensors are in place and functioning, there is nothing extra plugged in or O2 spacer needed. And there is no CEL. Not to mention at low revs it sounds stock, maybe even quieter. You cant even tell its afterarket until you rev it out, and even then its only because it sounds like a sports car or something interesting like that, not because it deafens you as it rolls past. Forget preconceptions you have of what a catless pipe sounds like with this exhaust.

Dammit you son's of bitchs!!! You know how hard you're making it to not buy this!!

SON OF A BITCH!!! Why couldn't URD release this at the same time they did they're y-pipe, or why didn't they design their y-pipe the same way as this one.... I'm all jealous as shit now, because I have the stupid old y-pipe and I'm sitting here telling myself, I don't need this new one!!!!

Now I have to go listen to the clips in my truck real quick so I can get the bass and full expensive.

    I hate you all!!!!

Interesting that it's a Magnaflow muffler... Good thing, just curious.

Can you check/measure the inlet/outlet of the muffler diameter real quick please. URD says they used 2.75" piping after the v-band. Are the inlets 2.5" or 3"? Because Magnaflow doesn't make a 2.75" muffler that I'm aware of.

    Thanks.

I had delayed because of some of the post on here about the clearance issues. Maybe
3"ID on the muffler and 2.75 ID on the pipe.

Thanks. Makes me feel a little better... I have the same muffler at least. Just running a 3" pipe in and out of muffler, instead of 2.75".

Have to go listen real quick... See how different it sounds than mine. BRB.

    **Edit**
Ok, feel a lot better now... Listing to clips on a proper system, as opposed to a laptop or phone, makes all the difference.

Clips sound really close to mine. I wasn't flooring it or anything, but same nice deep tone... Which makes sense, since it's the same muffler and both y-pipes remove the rear cats. Funny though I had to add a Vibrant Ultra Quite Resonator to initially quite it down, because after initial install, it was loud as hell.

Here are my clips for comparison (not trying to thread jack, just for informational purposes; best to listen via Bluetooth in truck):
    https://youtu.be/kYWFoIdDSjI

    https://youtu.be/bnwGg2bp5f8

    Pretty close IMO.

That sounds way better than any of the other exhausts I've heard.

What are the chances you could get a decible reading on one of those cell phone apps? Would be interested in "quantifying" how much louder in cab it actually is. But is sounds growlly and awesome.!

Wait...just so I'm clear. You guys are calling this a catless system once installed but it's not? Without the URD power extractors you still have at least 2 cats? I need to crawl under mine and see but how many cats do we have stock? 2 or 4?

4 cats...most modern vehicles have at least 2 per bank. This eliminates the secondary cats.

I can look later but I'm guessing the secondaries are in the stock y pipe?

If people are really trying to produce power from exhaust mods they have to ditch the cats. They are by far the most restrictive parts. Of course it's completely illegal and you'll get a CEL but none the less
