Yeah probably what I'll do. I just was tight on time. It's a minor issue with a dozen solutions, so no big deal.

I like it better because it makes it super easy to remove without any evidence.

I was trying to contact OP before publicly complaining but evidently I can't send him a PM. Anyone else with their truck throwing errors with this??? I was really liking my SSP but after two weeks of using at my truck randomly started throwing error codes. I was on a family trip with the kids in the truck and it would first alert me that there was a problem with ABS and then the traction control would throw an error code and it wouldn't shift properly. Stopping the truck and restarting it seem to fix the problem but only temporarily. Randomly but frequently 30 seconds after starting the truck I would start getting error codes. I reached down and unplugged the SSP OBD connector and all error codes stopped happening. Anyone else????

That's the first I've heard of it. Do you have an OBD2 splitter or something other than the recommended setup?

Did you make sure everything is seated properly?

Seems like an isolated incident. I've had mine well over a few months and it's still working fine. Could be a bad unit or like @tacoflavoredkisses1 said ensure everything is seated properly.

This does sound like an isolated incident, possibly due to a loose connection. Ill get ahold of you to see if we can get it sorted out.

We do have an email address on our website which can be used to contact us at any time as well.

I've seen a few mention their MPG has gotten better.

Installed mine when I got to work, haven't tested it yet. There was NO beep when I first
powered it on, thought something may be wrong but ALL other beeps were there that are
noted in the directions. It slid, easily, right under the Qi charger area. We'll see what the ride
home brings..... may have to do some driving at lunch! :D

No splitter. Installed as recommended but the wire was sort of tight due to routing. I will check it all today and reinstall.

After a couple of weeks driving with the new chip, the only thing I've noticed is the "hanging" in 3rd gear. Have to get to roughly 40mph to get it into 4th at light throttle. Not a big deal, but a bit aggravating driving in 35mph zones. Overall mileage on back country roads and hilly areas has increased some. Still a whole lot better than the standard S mode, but I do find myself using the standard mode in town most of the time.

I concur with you regarding the length of OBD cable. Rework on mine for another + foot (may have shorten the length upon satisfy with the final location) and added expandable sleeving.

Installation was a breeze. I mean, really simple installation. Passed function test but I only had a chance to drive it around the block, but I can already tell a difference. I'll know more tomorrow when I drive to work and back. So far I'm pleased. I'm afraid I've developed some bad habits having driven it without the SSP for so long...looking forward to really enjoying driving my truck again.

After talking with OP about the problem I re-routed all my wiring, which meant making removing and re-seating all connectors. Since then I have had one day with lots of starts and stops (kid shuttle) and no errors. He is sending me a new unit (all paid shipping and such) so he can look at the old unit and troubleshoot. It may have been a connector that was loose or a solder joint, who knows. So far so good though.

I have been using mine for a few weeks now and I love it. I drive with it on almost all the time.

I have found my mpg has decreased a bit with it, I think I've been driving a little more aggressively now that the truck responds better.

Only one full tank in since I installed this. Averaged 21.2mpg, which is about what I have been seeing without it. I have yet to average less than 20 on any single tank.
