Any way to make the 2.7 sound "nice"?

Im coming into this being realistic in my expectations. I have the 2017 with the 2.7 I4 and its just way too quiet for me. Im coming from a 4.3l V6 that was a straight pipe (after cat) 90 bend that came out before the rear wheel.

I know it wasn't the nicest sounding exhaust, but it was loud, had a nice rumble, and it was legal.

Id straight pipe my 2.7 if I wasn't worried about it voiding my warranty (would it if I left the cats? Or could I get rid of the one after the O2 sensor?)

So any exhaust mod suggestions that are strictly for sound?

 

Magnaflows are supposed to sound pretty good on the 2.7 check out some YouTube videos.

Check the second gen section also, its the same 4banger from that gen. im sure theres lots of exaust stuff in there after 12 years.

 

Really? I wouldn't call it quiet. With the windows down @ WOT it sounds pretty good stock. I wouldn't want it any louder than that, because a ricey sounding 4 banger truck should not ever exist. Not once.

 

Magnaflow 18" or 20" if you really only want to hear it under engine load.

Anything louder and it sounds like your neighbor kids' riced out Accord.

It is a 4 cyl toyota truck engine. I have no idea what magic you are expecting to work here.

IMO save your money and put mods towards something achievable.

 

This cracked me up. I remember the apps that you could rev car engines and people would hook it up to their aux cords lol.

Meh, its more of I want to be able to hear my truck. I accidentally turned the key one time because I forgot I left it running... couldn't hear it standing next to it, or especially inside it.
