Thanks! And it's gotten better... and at the end of next week it'll be even better with a totally custom Tradesman Truck Tops shell on it.

*The side mirror cover area is taped because I had to send it to Tradesman for color matching the shell - kinda liking the black look and will plastidip them both

Everything but the front bumper lip has held up perfectly, Im going to peel it and dip it again in less than 1 hour. I would highly recommend it.

Nice, I've dipped quite a few things so I'll be doing my flares this weekend now. No-one wants to trade super white for off-road so this will have to do

    Two Questions:
How nice will it look to plastidip grille on a black taco?
Would it be wise to plastidip bumper caps?

    Grill, hood, tailgate lettering.

Tacoma and V6 emblems will be done in black or removed altogether. Haven't decided yet.

Yep, just black and then grey for the surround and emblem... Ended up changing grilles but if I would of dipped it again I would have done all black, the grey didn't fit IMO

Nope that's the beauty of plastidip. Just use some newspaper & tape like you do with emblems to limit overspray and then peel off the areas you don't want.

I have to admit, I have never been a fan of white trucks, my father was in construction and had a white work truck for YEARS, but the white Tacomas with black accents and wheels look like Storm Troopers on steroids. It's pretty cool.

    Like, so many.
Two to be safe. Put them in hot water to keep them warm. It will make a fiber mist.

Agreed on the two cans. You want to get three coats on there to make it durable. Don't get too liberal with the coats, either, or you will end up with buildup in the corners and tight spaces. It only takes about 10 minutes for each coat to get tacky enough for another coat, but I would recommend doing no more than two coats at a time if you wait any longer than that. I think the can states to apply next coat within 2 hours or wait 24 hours. On my first attempt I applied my first coat, did my second coat 30 minutes later, then did the third coat almost an hour after that and noticed some cracking from where the second coat was still drying and the top of the third coat had hardened some, but the bottom was not set up yet.

I did them with two. I had to re-do the badges bc it was my first go-round. But two did it. Still have some left after the grill.
