Hello friends, recently got a new Yota and am chomping at the bit to get the mods rolling on it. Only problem im finding is i cant find any reviews whats so ever of the parts im considering.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this exhaust and Y-Pipe system.

Looks pretty nice. Complete set also. I want some performance gains and a nice sound. Seems like it would do the trick. Also it seems to me that URD has a pretty good reputation. I was a lifelong ford owner so this is my first time tinkering with Toyotas.

But ya im all ears on any advice, reviews or other recommendations. Thanks!

Lots of money. Not much gain.

    This is all about sound.

I removed my front two cats, put a K&N CAI on, URD-Spec U Long Tube Headers, Spintech 6000 Muffler, and a custom crossover.... in total I gained 16HP. (Dyno Tested)

Simply changing your muffler and the exhaust tubing isn't going to net you much (if anything) on that tiny little 3.5L your 3rd Gen has.

I've gotta agree with @Kyitty here, it will be all sound. There's not a lot out there for performance on our trucks, but this catback, a CAI, and an OVTune might net you 20 hp. There's some evidence that just running premium gas actually gains 20-30hp, might be worth looking into. URD is working on a supercharger too, but that's probably a ways out. Good luck!

Nothing special. Just had to relocate. Oem crossover goes under the the T-case/tranny. Otherwise skid plate has to be shimmed down to fit under the exhaust pipe.

Moving the crossover back further provides better ground clearance.

If you ever happen to get another dyno, have them start in 3rd or 4th gear (keeping it in that gear the whole time), at just over 3k rpms. Then you'll get one solid line on the graph.

You should post your dyno and mods in the N/A Dyno thread.

You may have only gained 16 horses, but you're torque curve changed significantly, starting with much higher torque right off the bat.
Arguably that's what the new Tacoma is missing, low end torque. It's got ponys to spare in the high rpms, but at less than 2250rpm I might as well be dragging a parachute.
I'm considering deleting the first cats before the Y on my 2017 TRD OR, just to try and gain SOME low end torque back.

Did you see any gains/losses in mpg?

for $600 this is pretty good!
Look at that torque increase... One thing you gotta understand is that ponies dont come cheap. If you buy a brand new car and you want ponies, youre gonna pay more than the basic models.

These gains are great simply with a $600 investment, plus labor!

I have the same headers on my 4th gen 4runner and I gained MPG!!! Gained Torque!!! Subtle, but it is there!

I have the Spec-U on my 2019 and love it. Sounds amazing and dyno'd +30HP at the wheel.
