I got damn close to get a heat stroke last year in late May. And that was around 10:00am just packing up my shit. Being outdoors in 108+ is no joke.
That said, I still love Moab.

The jeep camp is pretty sweet at eagle lake and the short trail to get there is fun. You can't reserve spots there so you probably want to go early if you want to stay there.

We're heading to eagle lake (Merrill campground) with the family. I like it up there and I'm looking forward to seeing some more water in the lake this year.

Good fishing in lake alpine. Got some crazy wood knocks one day up there about 2 miles hiking into a canyon while deer hunting. Yup...

Yes. I've been there. He's towards the north end of slick rock trail not far after Lake Alpine. There's a bunch of spots on the rocks right there next to the river. Depending on weather it can be windy AF.
I actually prefer to camp at the end of the trail by Duck Creek and run the trail backwards and then turn around and run it the normal direction.

Bigfoot would not want to come upon me when I am camping. We would have our first real proof that Bigfoot exists, and he would be dead.

Mine were the same. The pin was stuck because the leafs shifted and was pinching the pin. Big hammer and a punch got mine out.

i was missing that the nut on top came off. so much dirt made it look like it was welded on. got it off. trying to get new leafs in now. seems like center pin will be a bitch. might have to grind some little rounded bolt as well.

Went camping last night up off highway 89 north of Truckee. Then this morning went and messed around a little. Went up to Sardine Peak lookout, then into Sardine Valley, then over to Stampede and then came home Henness Pass into Verdi. About a mile from the pavement I slashed my front passenger tire . Guess it's time for some KO2's. The stock Goodyear Adventures made it just over 15k and they were actually getting down pretty low anyway.
