Weekly Photography Challenge Thread

As in something in their normal habitat, doing the usual?

Sure.. just figured creativity could be used, as well as just the literal way. I still need to work on finding something picture worthy.

 

I am running out of time this week so I figure I Will post the closest thing I have to the challenge. I "Spotted" my friends local duck man. This duck hangs out at his place and is named "Fred"

Spotted this American Badger this morning near Dugway, UT

 

Wow. Tough competition this week.

 

I finally caught these punks. They've been hiding from me all week. It's so funny to just see their heads popped up and ears wiggling around. Kinda hard to see but the four stump looking things back in the trees are the elk lying down with their heads up.

*Not an entry... Nor a real good picture. Just trying out my lens extender thing*

 

Spotted Spots from my deck on Wednesday. Instead of my wildlife lens which I almost always have on had the 100mm macro lens attached, but they were only ~20 yards away.

 

Spotted... in the act of pollinating...

Well I'm not sure about the focus, bokeh and fstops and all that other technical shit.

But all pictures were great, i liked them all. Quiet a good turnout this week! Hopefully it stays this way.

I caught another 'spotted' picture just 10 minutes ago, a few babies and a bunch of cows cruised through while out on the patio. Wasn't up quick enough to get more pictures.

The picture that caught my eye the most out of all the contenders is ole Donald duck. Great picture of the subject with the background out of focus.

New challenge: Youth/young/new

What's the thoughts on the challenge this week? Anyone have ideas of what they are looking for? I tried to keep it fairly open. More interested in composition and how the photo was taken then what it's of but it should still fit the theme.

 

.... Youth/young/new .... I was going to look for perhaps a young animal or a flower in blum ... or perhaps I'll take a picture of my new suspension being installed tomorrow, cause that'll be "new" ... hhaha

 

I don't get in many but I love all of them. They make me think.

Young/youth. Age of a person. A flower. An animal. A mountain. (Jagged peaks vs old hills).

 

Pepsi...for those who think young. Lol, showing my age there. I think Cuffs just about summed it up.

Our beach got renourished this past winter and they just planted the dune's sea oats that are hopefully going to reduce the erosion as much as possible. so this is all "new growth" i am taking the rainbow as a good omen!
